In this uniquely inspiring presentation, Mark shares some of the experiences he has witnessed first-hand from being a patient during his many years of surgeries as a child in the 1970s.  Then more recently as the father of a child who was in the NICU, to a husband who spent countless hours by his late wife’s hospital bed for five months after her accident.

Just like everything else in our world today, the Healthcare system has made incredible progress during Mark’s lifetime of 40 years.  Hospitals must learn that while there need to be rules and regulations in place, they also need to be flexible and look for the best possible solution for each patient.  We must also think outside the box and realize that the way you help your patients during their stay can have both short and long term effects of how they live their lives.
